hey guys, this isn't a question about bt so don't bust my chops (can i say balls) about doing search. i think my epox usb dongle bt-dg202 is broken. i have tried everything, i've used the supplied and updated software and drivers and have even tried XTNDconnect blue manager. the farthest i have been able to get is my t616 finding my puter, and when i try to pair it, entering a password is as far as i can get. my puter can't seem to find the phone at all. when i run the connection wizard, it won't let me search for a device. i have also tried multiple usb (2.0, but i don't think that's the problem) ports. i was having the same problem with my t68i. it's been months since i bought the dongle, so the best i can do is buy another one and if it works, return this one in the box saying it doesn't work. i ran a search on epox here and not too much came up. dude this sucks!

Try starting the pairing from the phone. From bluetooth menu, Choose "my devices", then "new device" and press "more". You will see a menu asking which type you want to pair. Select "Computer". When it finds your computer, press on the name and enter a passkey. There will be a pop-up on the computer which tells you that there is a device trying to connect to your computer. If you are runnig WinXP, you will have the pop-up write above the bluetooth sign (Don't now other OS). Press on it and enter the passkey you wrote on the phone. It should be working now.
I tried doing it from my PC too but it didn't work that way so I did it this way...

thanks iyiinsan but i've tried that already (and just now for good measure) but that is as far as i can get. my phone finds my puter and when it tries to pair it says connection failure. i think the dongle like only works on inbound traffic, which is why my phome can see it, yet it can't see my phone. i think this dongle is a piece of crap. never buy epox dongles! does anybody else have any ideas?
