OK so it's not the ideal solution, but...... Go into my pictures, press yes on the picture you want and ummmmmm......................that's it. Comepletely icon free screen, and it takes much longer for the screensaver to start, which will prolly lessen your battery life.

turn the phone off, and you get the screen completly blank. no clock screensaver.. no operator logo... and best of all. no one will hassle you with anoying phone calls or text messages.

Just checked how long it takes for the screensaver, about 3 mins. Just the same as normal, must have felt longer because I was staring at the phone O_O

Sure does.... ou could even brighten it up by removing the cover and putting a nice little sticker on the screen

go to a mall with scissors, take a dummy phone, cut the string that connects the phone to the glass counter. youll never have to charge the battery ever again, better yet, you get 5 bars of signal even in a submarine!
