A new firmware came out for the P800.
R2D02
This is only for the US English version. I will have more details on this firmware after we play around with it today.
I wonder when C3P00 will come out?
Firmware version corresponds with the Organizer version. The phone firmware part of the phone is pretty stable and may change the least. I believe the list looks something like:

- Bug Fixes and/or improvements
R1G
- Phone R1D
- Bluetooth R2C
- Bug Fixes and or improvements
* Phone would shut of and not load back up after all internal memory was used up. This was fixed.
- First Firmware included with US Phones.
R2A
- Phone R2D
- Bluetooth R5A
- User Enhancements
* MP3 player in phone mode
* Ability to select multiple files
* Full screen pictures
* Full screen video
* Ability to zoom into pictures with higher resolution and move them around
* New screen saver
* Camera Mute
* Camera Night Mode
- Bug Fixes and improvements
R2B
- Phone R2D for North America
- Phone R2F elsewhere

There is a reason that my post was so long. Please read it completely. This firmware came out today. August 13 2003. Contrary to popular belief, the phone firmware is not the same as the P800 firmware.
Firmware version corresponds with the Organizer version.

To bring this thread back to sensibility, from everything I've read in the P800 area of this forum, I'm sticking with the slightly older firmware listed in my signature - the R2F package just seems to cause people problems, while my system seems 99% rock-stable....
(Similarly, my employer stays one step behind in the technology front, on the tried-and-tested basis; this seems to work for me....)
Steven.

I certainly don't doubt rickpaul from his first post of this thread.

edit: oops.. .sorry Steven... looks like we posted at the same time! so ignore me... I'm in one of those moods!
