Hi,

I got a T610 with a new o2 contract and I have found it generally a really good replacement for my SL45. I really like the calender functions and I organise all my stuff on it.

I really liked the PC Sync that I had with the SL45 being able to copy files to and from the phone and syncing the calender with outlook.

As a result of this I bought a Blue Monkey BT USB Dongle so that I could connect my phone to the PC.

I installed the XTND Connect software and when I ran it I was able to see my phone. I could also send ringtones to the phone. However it would not let me send files from the phone to the PC. I tried to change the settings with regards to sharing files on the PC but the program crashed and refused to load after that. I had to reinstall it to get back to square one.

I then tried the SE software that comes with the phone but the sync software does not recongnise the BT dongle (I can't see any options in the software to set it up either).

After a few nights when the air was blue with a whole raft of swear words I emailed the support people for Windigo systems and primatesystems but neither have provided any solution. Windigo systems simply told me they hadn't tested the phone with it yet despite me stating the problem was the software crashing.

I eventually dediced to get a USB cable from ebay for the phone but that has proved to be even worse. I can't even get it to install with the SE drivers so it is about as much use as a proverbial chocolate fire place.

It is such a pain in the ass and I can't believe something so simple is proving to be so difficult. What ever happened to plug n play. More like plug n scream loudly in frustration.

Has anybody used any of the above combinations sucessfully and if so could you provide an idiots step by step guide to get them to work.

Regards

p.s I am running Win98 SE for your info.

you might not have the problems you think you have when if you can recieve via the pc/phone chances are you can send from phone to pc.
on my system the file s that are sent from the phone to pc dont goto my doc or any were like that
there are sent and sorted in the bluetooth software in a file called ftp
its a bit of a long shot but open up the software suite via my computer then my programs and open up some of the files you might just find some of the stuff you have sent already
good luck hope this helps
