from >500 to say >1000 >1500 >2000 etc. I like many have been here a while & past the sacred 500 mark along time ago.

i agree the poster count should be >1000 and >2000

I don't think there should be a post counter,people could be judged on the merits of each post. rather than how many, for instance i have a high post count because i joke around alot, but it doesn't make me any more clever when it comes to phone stuff. |

Anyone can get a high post count in a very short time by posting "Yes", "I agree", "OH?", "So?" and stuff like that. Problem was; people did exactly that just to get a high post count, that is why it was changed from actual count to how it is today.
Then people started doing it another way; Create a lot pointless threads in forums like "Garbage" and reffeing to the memberlist. "Hey look! I'm soon on top of the list"-kind of things. That is why some forums don't count in the post count.
