R600 is the replacement for the T39, I think. It should retail at around the same price.

This is absolutley NOT a replacement for T39!
These phones are targeted to different market segments, T39 for buisness (btooth,irda, mail, HSCSD modem mm), R600 is target towards young people and other people who dosen't need these features... (and it's much cheaper too)

Anyway, is there anybody who knows when it will hit the shelves or why it's so hard for SE to release it?

The price of R600 is around €230 and $200 - so I wouldnt say that is a replacement for T39
The size of it is really impressing!

If it isn't a replacement for the T39, why have Ericsson ceased production of the T39?

Expansys have that price wrong. The Argos high street consumer good chain is selling it for £129.99 with a one2one sim pack.

The replacement for the T39 is the T68.... I would have thought that was pretty obvious!
