The p800 is use loses almsot all battery power within 10 hours.
This is when it is in standby mode and I dont have anything on. Like bluetooth or such.
I think my battery is screwed..

Put it in cradle every night but would say 2 days max with my usage.
Think I read somewhere on esato that distance to a transmitter can make a big difference to battery life as phone needs to use more power to maintaine/keep a signal. |

Mate that seem to be a very quick drain. It may seem that you don't have any applications running but there may be applications running in the back so use a software like 'SMan' which is available free to see all the running apps and that will help you to close all unwanted ones. Try this and see whether there is any difference.

i know i get 4-6 days i'm good hehe. but it also depends on your network. i got GRPS actived but only for MMS receving and sending. bluetooth is on, irda sometimes to send pics to and from my pc. i don't call often maby 2-3min a day. about 30-50 sms. 1-2 MMS a day. no wap or GRPS surfing lately. i'm on a dualband network 900/1800 wich normally uses about 1/6 more of you battery (tested on a T310 and T68)

The screen seems to be the killer for me - I set the screensaver to 10 mins and it's drastically improved the battery life

Hi,
I get about 2 days with about an hour of talking, 10/15 sms and 5/10 mins of GPRS usage. I also use SMan to kill running apps very often. The phone goes into sleep mode in 2mins.
However, I'm sure that we can get at least 3 days out of the P800 (with moderate usage). The only question is how ? |

My P800 sits in the cradle every evening, when i get home. But a 2-3 days i think. |

I noticed that the top four things that drain the P800's battery is:
1- GPRS
2- Backlight (If always Auto or ON)
3- Camcorder (Hacked version) if left running in the background.
4- Bluetooth (if Always On)
Now I get about 4 days with moderate SMS, lots of show-offs, a few games, nothing running in the background when done.
B4 that, i was getting one or 2 days.
P.S.- Also, you MUST consider your average reception.
Low reception = Battery Drain!
Cheers!

Mine last about 3-4 days! I dont really make any phone calls. But use about 5mb a day with GPRS, emails and internet! and heaps of sms!, MP3s, I use it more as a PDA then a Phone! |
