WaveLinker bluetooth & P800 phone suite |

Hi,
I have a WaveLinker dongle and P800 phone, and I had some drivers installed that worked (kind-of), but kept crashing my PC, so I downloaded the new drivers.
Now, I can connect to my phone and send business cards etc, but the P800 phone suite can't see the phone (looks like it's not connecting on the virtual COM port).
Anybody any luck with this phone and dongle?
Anybody any ideas?
Cheers,
Dries. |

Did you try connecting to 'bluetooth serial port' on your PC? That service should be available on the P800..

Try what Laza suggested. A few months ago I couldn't make connection with my Nokia 7650 with this BT dongle. So I bought MSI BT dongle. Works just fine. I wrote email to support team but they couldn't help me. |

Thanks for the replies.
I tried about everything I could think of. The bluetooth manager tells me there is a com port service for the phone, but I don't know how to connect to it. The phone manager doesn't seem to recognise the phone.
It's strange though because I can send files to and from the phone (exchange business cards), but the Sony software doens't seem to work.
I really regret now being so cheap and getting the crap dongle from Dabs. I should have spend the extra £10 or something for a decent branded one
Worst is that it used to work before I changed my PC and installed the updated drivers |
