My T68m Problems |

My S/W is R2B013
I have a few problems. Well, maybe not problems but complaints.
1) Why isn't it possible to enter a phone number and then choose to save it into the phone book like you can in nokia? I have to go to phone book and choose add contact to add a new number. That's troublesome.
2) When I had R1B and when I was writing a new SMS, I could hold the * button and it would allow me to select either abc... or 123... so that I can enter numbers instead of text. However, ever since R2A to R2B, that feature was taken away. I now have to hold on to the number to get it to come out. That's so troublesome.
3) My battery indicator seems faulty. It never says above 170Hr remaining. It's always below that although we were promised up to 240h. I even took out my batt and put it in another T68 and it says 200+hr. Only on my phone it never says above 160h. Anyone know why?
These are few complaints I have. Anyone has similar complaints or any solutions for me do let me know. I appreciate it. |

Answer to 3 = The battery indicator cooperates with the phones signal strength. If you're on a low signal area it'll show in your battery indicator almost in real time. Maybe the other t68 had a different operator.

Answer to 1) seems like an old feature of ericsson T39,T29, T28, T18, T10, 380, 688, 388, 377 which is discontinued in T68m.
T68 is a much more complex phone where it is designed to sync with Outlook
Typically One name entry in Phonebook could store a few numbers such as Business Phone; Mobile Numner; Fax; House Phone; Email Etc
This being the case, you are unable to have the same features as the old phone, I quote"Why isn't it possible to enter a phone number and then choose to save it into the phone book like you can in nokia......"
Answer to 2) When you flash your phone from R2A to R2B, it has been reset. To get back the "hold # features" , do the following
Use Joystick, Goto "Settings"
Select "Language" Then Select "Input"
Thick all "English", "ABC" and "123"
That is all
I hope this is of some help to you
Happy T68 user

Another answer to (3) could be caused if you have IR set to always 'on' or Bluetooth set to always 'discoverable'. |
