This is actually a very unnecessary topic but anyway.
About the design of the new T68i. At first it looked like some christmas tree decoration but now that i´m getting used to it it kind of looks better than the old version. Has anyone else noticed this?. The same thing happens sometimes with cars. A new model looks terrible when first introduced but after a while "eyes get used to it" and one has to admit that the designers were right...
I don´t have a T68 but i´ve been reading this forum a lot because it seems to be a interesting device and i´m probably going to purchase one later this year... |

Yep,..I'm using the T68i,..and it doesnt look very good on pictures, I even admit that.
I didnt like it in the beginning, when I first saw it on pictures.
BUT in real life its very different,..it looks much better, the colors are much nicer, and the phone "feels" right when you hold it in your hand
Together with the mms-software, its a very good phone.
I still have my T68m,..think its one of the best looking phones ever made. The design is beautiful, and the details fit/blend perfectly together.
I dont really want to compare the two phones, basically because I cant,..I like them both.
Another thing is, they are very different in design and style.
I like both styles/designs.
Screen (brighter/clearer), backlight(very good) and buttons(more firm) are better on the T68i.
Software is of course another issue, but this will be same, once T68m is upgraded.
So all together, if I am to compare them, then the T68i wins, because it seems to have a better "built-quality". And thats not really that strange, as it is a newer phone
You have to get used to the T68i,...I was used to more "classic" design and dark metallic-colors,..T68i is the opposite.

yup Jan,
I agree with you.
beside the software issue, they both have nice out look, just different kind of style. 68m is more elegant.... 68i is kinda ..... dont know. a lil girly,(not a bad thing tho) and seems to me like easier to atract eyes. maybe I like white....
anyway. they both look cool
but to me, I wont spend money to a very simular phone. I still love my t68 so much. would be more if it got upgraded.. lol |

Jack > If the T68i had been white, then I would not have bought it, thats for sure,..but its silver (silk..not really metallic color).
The upper part, is harder to determine,..looks different in different lights. Its not really "light-blue", it reminds me of the color e.g. BMW uses for their cars, but darker,.. hehe. Its metallic, but with a "clear-color/glass-like" coating, so it reflects differently.
I dont know if it looks "girlie" hehe,..I dont think so.
One just have to get used to light colors, instead of dark metallics.
I used to have the "classic-colors" too, on my previous phones, and I didnt really like those light colors on phones.
But the T68i doesnt look flashy in any way,..I thought so at first when seeing it on pictures,..but the colors are totally wrong on pictures,.. in real life its far better looking.
The T68m has the advantage of looking great on both pictures and in real life.
