OK, it may a bit excessive, but I purchased a silver stylus from 'limey1', the ones made in Singapore, and a 'Pimpin' Stick' made in the USA by Mark. As you can see from the photo the Singapore stylus is rather plain and not finished anywhere near as nice. The stylus below has my initials and a very nice alternating polished and brushed diagonal finish. Of course, to be fair, the Pimpin' Stick cost $21.00 more! But the real story here is the way the styli fit into the P800. The Singapore stick took me a while of polishing and bending to get it to work properly with the phone. The Pimpin' Stick on the other hand snapped in and out of the P800 exactly like the OEM plastic stylus!
My advice is to spend a little more and get a Pimpin' Stick! You won't be disappointed!

@GBP

how well does the stylus work when compared with the cheap plastic one? I personally find a solid tubular stylus, like the one for the Clie PDAs and the old Psion 5 work much better and I can more accurately use Jot.

Jah, using a metal stylus with the P800 is comparable to using a fine pen vs. a plastic BIC. It is easier to write with and much smoother, touching a item will result in a accurate quick response as opposed to the plastic stylus sometimes not "ringing up" what you tapped it with..

As for the the other posters astute observation, yes, the bottom "PimP'In Stick" is the scratched one....very carefully scratched and polished I might add....

Yeah, BengalBoy is right. I also defer to him regarding the requirement to polish the silver stylus at two key points and we are now doing this. I can still sell the stylus direct but we have given mass distribution over to a UK company and they are having them polished completely. I still offer them in 9kt and 18kt -- however these will all be through my distributor who is also having EVERY stylus UK hallmarked which will give ours the edge. We also have a range for a variety of other PDAs.

I will post details of the new polished and hallmarked range later.

Cheers!

$21 more just for a plastic stick replacement! (what do they costs?)

Make yourselves feel better & send the money to a worthwhile charity.

You could feed someone for weeks for that price.

Orn8one, I am not affiliated in any way with Azooza or the Singapore made sticks. The "PimP'in Stick" was the original precious metal stylus and is made in the USA by skilled craftsmen and not just cast and sent out the door to customers and it's strange that Azooza now admits his reproductions were less than great after having taken other's money for what they thought would work easily with their P800's. I wonder if he is offering refunds or "hand finishing" for those who already purchased?

Regardless, you can find my stylus on Ebay by typing in "P800 stylus" and looking for the auction with "PimP'In Stick" and Seller "Rottenspots" in it or just PM me here when you are ready to purchase.

As for the member who wants to make charity donations for what he percieves as a waste of money, start looking at yourself buddy, if you own a P800 I would consider that a much larger outlay of cash for a luxury item. a T28W would serve your cell phone needs and give you plenty of donation money for your own charity.
