Hi All,

http://www.sonyericsson.com/tr/spg.jsp?page=start&Redir=page%3DT610_Connectivity%26B%3Die%26PID%3D10055%26LM%3DPSM_V%26start%3D0

As u can c, sony shows a very "easy" way to connect the T610 to the PC, just "dran n drop". I tried asking them how to do this, what kind of sofwtarehardware do i need (i got only XTNDconnect installed).

They replied:
"The mobile phone sends pictures via Bluetooth using the OBEX-Push Service. The PC's Bluetooth hardware and software must support the OBEX-Push Service, too."

Now - what do i do? what brand do i need? can any one recomend or say what he got?

Not all dongles support that. I returned a noname dongle that didn't and bought an MSI Btoe dongle instead. Works perfectly.

There is no such thing as "supporting/not supporting" various types of profile on the BT dongle itself.

All BT dongle is only up to HCI level of the entrie BT stack. It doesn't care about upper layer protocols.

Its the BT software stack installed on the system that determines which BT profiles it supports.

I have found (after being pointed towards this myself) that using Widcomm software with OBEX is the best thing.

Hi

OK, 10x for everyone writing a reply. My only question now, after i understood MCI is the best, what software 2 use? Does MCI comes with software that fully support T610 or there is a better software?

The dongle comes with the software.

[EDIT]
Version 1.3.2.7 supports all features on T610. If you have a lower version check the producers site for updates.

you can check out Microsoft Platform SDK which comes with bluetooth core support. You will need to use Microsoft BT driver to talk to your dongle.
