every single Ericsson i have ever owned over the last 6 years (inc SE P800) i let the battery run flat completely if at all possible. if batt is near dead at night keep your mobile on all night (mute on is handy). in the morning let it charge for as LONG as possible, i normally leave it charged on at work for up to 8 hours with no problems. you can not over charge these batts. you will notice if you put your hand on the charger while its charging up to 100% it is very warm then once the batt is fully charged it starts to cool down because your charger is only powering mobile and not charging & powering mobile. always try to let the batt run as low as possible (flat better) and charge it up fully. these people that recharge at 50% damage them cos the BST-15 in the p800 is LI-Polymer and may (dont quote me on it) suffer from the memory affect unlike NIMH batts.

I was under the impression that Li-Polymer batteries were used in preference to Ni-Cd and Ni-MH batteries nowadays because they don't suffer from memory effect and also don't lose their charge when not being used.
I've had my P800 four months, and the battery has been completely run down on it twice. I leave it plugged in for at least four hours at day at work and pretty much all the time I am at home, and it doesn't seem to have suffered any ill effects.

Yeah, ditto that! I now stick the P800 in its cradle every night - i'm tired of getting caught out being low on charge.
