Been looking for days, then suddenly this popped up on eBay:

Still paying over the odds, but it's cheaper than anywhere else I've seen recently, and they're in stock.

I managed to get one on ebay for £40!
From what i've seen thats teh cheapest place to get them - there is an element of luck involved mind you. |

Yeah, it seems I picked the wrong time to buy one. They are like gold dust at the moment though, seems to be a serious shortage.

I was told the Magic Gate Format will not work in SEP800, is this true?

Magic Gate functionality itself is not available with the P800 but the card still works as normal memory stick storage

do normal sony magicgate memory sticks work with the p800? if so, how? they are bigger and thicker than the duo. i have a 64mb magicgate memorystick i use for my sony clie. and it does not fit. so is it possible 2 use it? how?

the duo magic gate is exactly the same size as the regular duo. i have a 64mb duo magicgate one in my p800. it works fine

The magic gate version has a copyright function (for music) that is not in the normal memory stick. The P800 does not support this copyright function therefore the magic gate will act as if it is a normal memory stick. Which is good news |
