No it will not, in both cases, because the T68 does not have enough memory for
this feature.

Why do you still claim that there is a memory-difference? This rumour has been corrected several times by Per Alksten -one of the top-people in SE. I know that some "minor" SE-people has given incorrect info, but that is why SE has corrected this once and for all.
This is cut directly from "Mobil":
Men enligt Per Alksten, produktmarknadschef på Sony Ericsson, stämmer inte detta.
- Nej, T68 får exakt samma funktionalitet och kapacitet som T68i efter uppgraderingen.
If you don't understand swedish he claims that the T68 will have exactly the same functions AND capasity as the T68i.

You are wrong bart!!
I thought we had an agreement on that before?
The phones are identical inside!
And your first post in this thread what does it say? That you can contact again?

T68m has ~800KB of memory (the one I saw with the new software had 879KB according to the memorystatus), and that's what the T68i also has (look at the white pages for T68i, it says there "The memory available for the user is approximately 800 kBytes.") |

Per Alksten SE, also says, that the memory might show differently on T68 and T68i,..BUT inside/the memory itself are exactly the same.
The reason that it might show differently, is that the OS in the phones are not exactly the same.
The ONLY difference on these phones are battery-times,..also stated by Per Alksten SE.

I believe you guys, but I got a T68i and when I added all the used and free memory in the memory menu I got 1119 kb, and I'm not lying!
So the T68m has 879kb and the T68i has 1119kb of memory...
Now the thing is that I don't have those secret games that can be found in the T68m. 1119kb - 879kb = 240kb.
Do the secret games use 240kb memory? I don't know, but most likely. So since T68i doesn't have these games, it has more available memory. SE removed the games for several reasons:
1. So that we can save more than just 1 background picture on the phone.
2. Since T68i has MMS and these tend to use some memory.
But, there is one more thing. That I don't know because I've never had T68m. My question is:
BESIDES the secret games, how many games are there in the T68m? I think it's 3...?
The reason I'm asking this is: T68m has 7 games + 3(?) secret games. Altogether it's 10 games. Now T68i has 8 games + alot of features that T68m doesn't have i.e My Pictures, iMelody etc. + memory to store a hell lot of pictures and MMS-messages which T68m doesn't (no MMS-support and only room for 1 picture on T68m).
In reality T68m has 2 games more than T68i. Are you meaning to tell me that by removing 2 games, SE could fit all of these new features on the T68i and still have a lot of memory left for pics, MMS etc?
If all the new features of the T68i take up 240kb then there is no way that 2 games on T68m could take up 240kb.
Conclusion:
T68m: 10 games
T68i: 8 games + MMS-support, iMelody etc. + alot of memory for pics and MMS...
My guess is that those 2 extra games on the T68m take up no more then 90-100kb.
240kb - 100 kb = 140kb
So the T68i has about 140 kb more memory than the T68m which really isn't that much, but it's still something...
Have you ever thought that the SE people say the T68i and T68m are the same so that people who've already bought the T68m won't get pissed off?
Now I'm expecting a lot of you T68m-guys out there to start arguing with me about my reply on this subject, but bear in mind that this is only a theory that I have which may not be correct. But I still think it's worth paying attention to.

have 1Mb of memory doesnt mean we are able to / have to use all of them......we can just address 0.7Mb to be used and left the residue intact.......
so you just cant count the memory used by the features in t68 and t68i and come to conculsion that t68 has less memory than t68i....
we have to compare their hardware instead......

If you reset your T68m, you get 879kb free memory
If you reset your T68i, you get 1119kb free memory
That's my point... |

Hi Armin!
As you said in the last part, dont want to piss us off, we who bought the T68m - But what will happen the day it gets to us that the phones arent identical?!
Then I can belive that better watch out!!
And you seems to forget the part with the "new File-system" running in T68i, it manages the memory part in a more effective way.

WRONG It has the same memory, used for different things...read what you wrote... How can it have MORE memory, if it doesn't have all the features (like secret games)....

When T68m gets the MMS update, we too will be able to save more than one background and will have all the T68i features, does this mean we will get more memory? NO, the old memory (like secret games) will become free and be used in a different way.
Regarding the games: You forgot to take in to account that some games maybe use a little more memory than others, why other would remove specific games, while leaving crappier, more simple games? Maybe that also has something to do with it....

Per Alksten from SE told this in an earlier article.
The OS are different in these two phones,..that why the memory "shows" different numbers too.
He said that they were exactly the same, although it might not look like it

Who ever said that all the memory in the T68m was available anyway. I could be locked. They were always going to be upgraded after all. I think this board is getting full of people who are frankly silly enough to think that they have some amazing better phone in th T68i. By keep harping on about MMS and memory it makes them feel better about having the phone when they deep down know it isn't a better phone once the T68 is reflashed. |

Peanut > Personally I dont feel like having a better phone,..at least not software-wise.
Yes the T68i does have better buttons, backgroundlight, and a somewhat sharper screen-resolution.
Thats just what you would expect from a newer phone.
But its not a better phone really,..its just different from T68m.
I still think my T68m is one of the most composed phones I've ever had, and still thinks its beautiful
Just because I'm using the i-model, doesnt mean that I dislike the m-model.
And as Per Alksten SE said, there are no differences in memory on these two,..it might just show differently because of different OS.
