T300! 30 Sec. Trick!! To Remove All Operator Crap! |

Hey,
I have done a 30 sec. trick on my T300 R1B.
And it will not delete anything except the icon of your operator (at WAP option), startup/shutdown screen, ringtone of your provider.
So you'll keep your standard ringtones backgrounds games etc..
And that's the only thing I wanted to do on my T300 because I hate T-Mobile and I got Vodafone!

When you recommend the 13sec/30sec/whatever sec trick, you should warn the people that removing the battery while the phone is on can damage the phone

Yeah ok but what kind of damage.
It will only not empty the memory of the phone (I mean memory that the phone uses to work)
But thats why it works so slow after it.
You must turn of th phone and once again on.
Is harmless... |

My experience with the 13sec trick and the T-300:
I have a T-Mobile T300 with a T-Zones icon in the menu and a T-Mobile shutdown logo.
First I waited exactly 13seconds before I took out the battery -> Only some preset-pictures were gone.
I tried it for 10seconds -> T-Mobile stuff gone and the SE Stratup/Shutdown animation appeared.
Then again for 12 seconds -> All preset Pictures, Games and GPRS Settings gone.
My Contacts, SMS and Emails remained untouched.
The Problem was when I got a call! The phone rang like a defective tape recorder going at different speed. When I took the call, I heard NOTHING but the caller (who told me later) said he just heard horrible noises. I called myself and experience the same problems.
Then I flashed the actual firmware (R1G001) again and now the phone works fine...

Because that's the point of this thread.
How to get lost of the T-Mobile contents on your phone.
And I figured out myself so if anyone don't want to lose his pre-defined stuff he must use my trick
Good luck to anyone else thats gonna try it! |

'Why does it damage your phone?'
To all you ppl who don't seem to realize it..... cutting the power while operating any electrical or battery run device might be harmful.
Especially when doing so repeatedly. Seems like common sense to me and whereas my own T300 has proven to be quite a tough cookie, I sincerely doubt any t610 owners should try and do this at home....
Just my 2 cents on the matter.
