Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the Orange Start Up Screen when I turn on my P800,

get file manager then go into c:\sysdata

in here you will find 3 files, popcorn.wav startup.mp4 and shutdown.mp4

you can either move them to your PC incase you want to re-add them or just delete them.

If you do a search for ihardcastle, you will find only a few posts, look for the one about custom startup and shutdown mp4s.

here you will a link to Ian Hardcastle's site where you can download different files to be used.

WARNING!!!

Do not use an mp4 which contains audio as leaves ur P800 bringing up only the hard reset screen when you turn it on.
I have just made this mistake and am off to my local SE Service Centre first thing 2mrw morning.

After you get rid of the orange start up and shut downs you may find the standard ones boring.

filemanager is an app that you have to download and install on your phone. you can get it from sites like my- symbian.com
