Hi,
Yesterday my girlfriend send me an sms from her Nokia which is a picture of a rose flower, definitely not a photo, but a computer generated one I suppose. I can see that I have a new SMS but when I click the icon to open it opens the inbox but not the message what ever I do I can't open it and it remains as an unread message. I tried to open it from handy day it didn't work as well. by the way it is in no way an MMS hence she is using an 8310 and she don't have mms facility. I think it is called an enhanced SMS though I am not sure, please correct me if I am wrong. Any help will be much apreciated.

PS: I did search the forum but couldn't find an answer
PPS: If any of you need to see it in real , I think I could persuade her to send that again to some of you

Have you rebooted (the 10 sec press of the off-switch) since receiving it?

nope I didn't will it help to solve the problem? But my phone is not stuck I mean hanged it works well. So are you suggesting that rebooting will delete the message? Now then to reboot should I hold the power switch 10 seconds or just turn the power off, I never rebooted my phone you see . I was thinking you need to reboot only if the phone hangs

Any one else had a similar problem?

PS: BTW I am thinking of changing my signature as I am coming up with too many questions, lol

I've found the reboot (10 sec hold) clears several problems I've experienced. For example, after an exhaustive jacking session using SMan, it seemed that my facility was 'locked' or 'jammed' and no longer funtioned...

Also, after excessive use of the P800 (app-swapping lots), the memory seems to get clogged up, and can appear very low, even with no more than the basic apps running, as the memory doesn't get freed up as it should...

Try it. Steven.

So, from the inbox, selecting/ticking the little box next to the envelope by the name of the SMS sender, and then selecting Message > Delete message, doesn't work?

You could try selecting several messages, and deleting those....

It doesn't come to the inbox at all it stays as an icon on the bottom of my screen and as a message on the handy day. So can't select /tick it at all
