the topic says it all. The phone has a 1900 UMTS does that mean it can work on 1900Mhz ? |

no, its a 3g phone so there is no coverage yet in US. but in time the phone will work even in US. |

The Z1010 does also have 900/1800 Mhz GSM but since that is also not available in US then that doesn't help either!
Can't understand why they didn't make it tri-band and include 1900Mhz.

Since there will be no support for UTMS/WCDMA (the 3G standard in Europe) for a long time in the US, there is actually no point in buying the Z1010 in the US right now. Why carry around a quite large phone with great screen when you can not use any of the cool services that the phone could support. |

I email Sony Ericsson about this baby and they told me that this cell phone was only made for Europe market.

late 2004, AT&T is supposed to have WCDMA in 4 markets in the US. but as of now, that phone will not work. |

I haven't heard anything, but If I hear of T-Mobile offering UMTS, you better believe I will have it. |
