T300 firmware upgrade.. SE denies new firmware exists... |

Ok, I am very new to this... so a few questions first.
I have heard there are 2 very similar phones:
T300 and T306, are there any differences besides formware?
Are there any other phones that look just like this ?
How can I tell which one I have?
Ok... I have frimware R1C001, what is the latest, and is there a reason to upgrade. My main motivation is trying to get the phone working with MPM in win2k sp4. I would like to be able to save my contacts onto my computer... or sync with outlook. Right now MPM doesnt even see the phone. I have it connected through the DCU-10 USB cable.
I called T-Mobile (my provider) and they told me to call SE
I called SE tech support to ask about new firmware, and the lady told me that they havent released any...
SE also says that it is not possible to sync with the T300, so essentially the $50 USB cable can only be used to upload images to the phone, IF you can even connect to it, which is pretty ass...
I am considering getting a T610 through T-Mobile sometime soon.... does anyone have any experience using the T610 with the DCU-10 USB cable to sync through MPM?

Only know the answer to one of yur questions the latest firmware for the T300 is R1G.
The T306 is the North American version of the T300. I would think that it may simply operate on different bands (1900 and 850 perhaps?)

With IR, you can send the contacts from the Phone to PC and manage the contacts there. |

I would much rather get the USB cable working if at all possible... since i bought it and all.
I would need to get an IR adapter for my comp to use the IR on the phone. |

Float's Mobile Agent should work.
Just tried. It works. You have to set the COM port speed to 9600 when using a cable on the T300 series.
This includes when using the MPM

I got it to connect, but it wont do anything else.
the volume slider on the phone needs to be fixed so, im just gonna send it it and have them do the firmware too. |
