My t28 works just fine when communicating with hyperterminal using rs232 (typed AT and give OK response). Now that my t28 is broken, i got myself a sony ericsson t100. the problem is that it cannot communicate with hyperterminal with the same rs232 data cable (i used the same config : 9600, 8, N, 1, Hardware). why is it so? is it bcoz of different pin layout of the rx/tx connection? or maybe the t100 does not support any modem function like the t28? i'm a newbie so pls help!

Doesn't look like the T100 supports cable. No cable is listed under accessories for this model at the SE website.

THanks 4 the reply. hmm... what about the T600? does it has the same pin out as the T28? I wonder why T28 can communicate with hyperterminal while the newer T100 and T600 can't? Do i have to find a T28 or older phones if i find no solution for my T100 and T600 hyperterminal communication problem? I did modification on the data cable to support the modem function and it was working well with the T28 (until it was broken then). To find a T28 in the market nowadays is quite hard here. Grateful 4 any help!
