Sharing BT connection between PC, PDA & T610 at same time? |

Knowing that Bluetooth on the T610 has a range of 10 metres, is it possible to extend the range between PC and phone by placing a Bluetooth enabled device such as a PDA between them so the PC still shares the phone connection?
ie, PC connects to PDA, PDA connects to phone so theres a distance of 20 metres between PC and phone. - Can the PC still 'see' the phone and share its connection with the one already established on the PDA?

Ok cheers anyway GOwin.
How about placing the phone in the middle, not the PDA. I know it IS possible for both PC and PDA to share the phone connection that way, so I figure there must be a way of 'diasy chaining' the devices instead of keeping them all within a close circle.
If anyone out there has had any success/failures let me know before I start chucking things this way and that!

I don't think it'll be possible. Bluetooth devices come in two flavours, one with 10 m range, the other with a 100 m range. From what I have read in various forums, I understand a 10 m range device will NOT communicate with a 100 m device if kept further than 10 m apart - correct me if I'm mistaken.

It can't be done (I think), because BT doesn't support the ability for pass-thru communication.
A BT access point can communicate with 7 other devices, but this is done one at a time, not all devices at the same time. That is what's called a piconet.
A peer-to-peer connection would only have two devices communicating with each other.

i think you will find a actual BT access can comunicate with alot more then 7 devices. A bluetooth dongle on the otherhand which is acting as a software accesspoint does have alot of limitations. if its just peer-peer then this is called a pico-net. there is no repeater bt devices out yet so everything must be within the star config.
as for 10m and 100m devices.... i have a ipaq 3870 (10m) a billionton dongle (100m) and a t610 (10m) and i know for a fact i can get at least 30-50 metres range. im assuming its based on the sensitivity of the receivers.
