Hi,

After 1 month waiting I finally got back my T68m from the Service Point. They couldn't repair it and gave me a new one.

Unfortunately, the stupid lads gave me a German/English/French/Italian T68m, and NOT the Dutch T68m which I had before. This is VERY uncomfortable in typing SMS and e-mail.
I cannot change this phone, because the Service Point is not the shop where I bought it, and I don't want to send it back to and wait another month to get it replaced.

The firmware is R2A. I want to upgrade it to the MMS-firmware as soon as it's available.

My question is: Will I be able to get a Dutch firmware upgrade, or will I have to stick to German/English/French/Italian firmware? Elsewhere on this site I've read that certain upgrades are connected to certain IMEI-numbers. Is language connected to IMEI too?

Thanks.

you can get the dutch version when upgrading... the language versions are not IMEI-locked....

Go back to the servicepoint and get the firmware changed. They can dowload the Dutch firmware, as the firmware comes from one server.

i had a r310s which originally came with asian languages. however after flashing to the latest firmware, it came back with european languages. i took it back to a ericsson service point hoping to have the asian language pack flashed. however, the technician at the service point couldn't do it as the emma II server only allowed him to select different european language packs. the technician suspected that the imei somehow didn't allow him to select asian languaged. at first i didn't really believe that as i had read that the language could be changed to suit the users needs. the technician kindly showed me his monitor and under the selection, only european language packs were available although he had downloaded the asia pacific language packs. just wanted to share this experience with those who are interested.

@Gaston
Ga even langs bij een The Phonehouse. Daar kunnen ze je helpen aan de juiste software.
Kost ca. een kwartiertje om het te veranderen.
