yes a bit cheap but if it works it will be a bargain. I personally dont want to pay over £100 for a BT car kit. After buying the phone and the headset and the dongle it all ads up.

Get the Parrot Ck3000. its AMAZING- will cost you around 120 GBP, but its worth it. Softwired kits like this one, I'd be very sceptical, I spent 100 pounds on a Parrot Drive blue softiwere kit, and it was so bad, its jsut lying there gathering dust. The CK3000, on the other hand.. works like a charm, specially with SE phones (thought not the P800). Still, I would be very interested in how the Scan kit works, can then use it as a backup when I'm not using my car. This one seems to be an improvement over the parrot driveblue in that the microphoen is separate from the kit. |

I've just had the new SE BT kit with advance music mute, bought and installed for £200, wouldn't want any other kit!

Maybe cos you haven't seen the CK3000 in action. Its cheaper, and the functionality is vastly superior.

If it's £120 it ain't cheaper cos I paid £80 for the car kit and the music mute and as I've got a P800 I wouldn't be able to use the parrot anyway (according to your post above) innit. I bet it don't look as good as mine, all that's showing is the controller, everything else is behind the dash, and it's not plugged into the lighter socket like the one above. |

Well I received my £50 BT car kit today. Plugged it into my ciggy lighter & paired it with my T610 no problem.
The seperate mic is helpful as you can have it closer to your mouth which is useful for voicedialling. I tried voicedialling 3 different people and it recognised my voice first time. The speaker is loud and clear and you get NO craclking when you use it with the T610. The device is superb the best £50 I have spent in a long time and the beauty of it is that you can take it out and use it in any car. I had a 20 minute coversation with someone with it and I could hear them clearly and they could also hear me very well. The only critisism i have with it is that the persons voice sound slightly different to what it should be but thats no big deal to me. The speaker is loud. Also another thing to mention is that I havent tried it on the motorway yet so cant be sure how well it will work on the motorway with all that backround noise. I would recomend this to anyone who wants a cheap carkit that they can take out and use in any car and that also works very well.

This for Chris O Leary, 120 for the cK3000 c.t. 200 for ur SE kit (according to your post above the one above )... would certainly make it cheaper. The CK3000 is ALSO a behind the dash kit, all you see upfront is the remote control for pickin n dropping calls, it mutes ur stereo, with phones liek T68 and T610, it actually downloads your entire address book (250+ contacts in my case, most with multiple numbers) to the kit, then allows you to add voice tags for any you want, saving them IN the kit, this first of all lets u save MANY more voice tags then the phone allows (I think P800 lets U save like 16??), PLUS, as you record your voice tags thru the car kit's mic... recognition is almost always perfect; I've used it at speeds of 90 mph and it's never let me down. It will work with P800 just the complete functionality will not be there as apparently the P800 audio profile isn't as advanced.
Bub1: I would appreciate if you could give me any feedback on motorway usage. Cheers.

I fully appreciate what the 3000 can do and am sure the sound quality would be slightly better but end of the day it has to be fitted to your car which obviously costs something and then that means you cannot just unplug it and use in another car, also a lot of people like myself dont want the electrics on their car tampered with, especially when you have a new car.
If you have money to spend and want a BT carkit thats has many features you might bet better to go for the 3000. For me and many others I feel the BT car kit I purchased is a cheaper and better option which does the main job of talking handsfree very well.
I have just had a conversation on the motorway (with the windows shut of course) and had a perfectly good speech quality conversation

Personally with Bluetooth i wouldn't buy cheap!
You do of course realise that Bluetooth operates at 2.4Ghz, microwave is 2.5Ghz, the more expensive the bluetooth gear the better its insulated! I'm not sure i'd relish a hands free bluetooth kit sitting in my lightersocket only inches away from my knackers! £50 bluetooth in your car and a free plumbs spit roast and no risk of children. |

I have just had a terrible thought!
I have just bought one of these handsfree kits - not installed it yet though.
I alrady have a bluetooth headset, and there is a comment in the installation instructions that seems to imply that if I pair up the car one I will have to replace the existing headset pairing!
Anyone confirm if the T610 can handle two "headsets" intelligently?

Elaborate wot U mean by "intelligently". In my T610, I have two handsfree kits, one Parrot CK3000 and the other Parrot Driveblue. Ofcourse the phone never sees them on at the same time, so connects to the one which is available.
