Call data log Analysis |

I'm very pleased with my P800's call log facility (logging all incoming out going in terms of number, name, date, time, duration, type etc). I have also managed to find the physical log file called "CallLog.dat" in "system\data".
I'm looking for any help on the data file format that can assist me in making more sense out of this logged data. I'm interested to convert this data to a comma delimited (.csv) type file which I can then import into Excel to do further analysis e.g. How much time did I spent on calling number xxx? How much time is spend on incomming calls? form whom? when? (during office hours or after hours) etc.
If anyone knows where I can find more info or know of a program that does this already please email me at alouw@itex.co.za
Thanks in advance, Andre Louw

I don't think there is anyway to get at this file easily as it is locked as soon as the phone is switched on (because the phone application is using it I guess). The only way I even managed to see the contents is to perform a back-up, then find the back-up file and open it with WinZip (it's just an archive file), and then extract the CallLog.dat file.
As far as I can tell, it's some sort of DB file, some of the info is readable (detination number, name), but most of it is not (duration, time, direction, etc). If you find a way to convert it to a readable format, please let me know - I am writing an app to do what you are trying to do on the P800. To take the details of the calls you make, and map them against your tariff to give you an idea of your remaining free minutes/bill/etc. Search for "Tariff Monitor" on this board if it sounds of interest to you...
Good luck with the CallLog.dat file...
