My t68 broke, can this be fixed? |

My t68 broke yesterday, it has a very strange problem. The phone has decided not to work on GSM 900 but GSM 1800 does work. Orange and one2one sims do not work, but vodafone and cellnet do. Has anyone had this problem before? If so, how did you fix it. I am running software R1B. Does anyone know where I can locate a service centre near me, Bournemouth in UK. I tried the Sony Ericsson Dealer locator but it did not find any matches. I phoned orange (UK) to check that the phone was not barred, it is definitely a phone problem.
Thanks in anticipation

OIC..!! Mmm...
er... i think that its gonna have to be a SC then matey....
Not sure if there are any near Bournmouth though.
If its under a year old, like it is, then it will have to warranty still valid. Can you not contact the place of purchase or was it from a friend?

I think there is nothing wrong with your phone. It is just that your SIM CARD may be too old. (4 years or more). New phones have compatibility problems with old SIM CARD
Only 2 days ago, a friend of mine had the same problems. After replacing his SIM CARD, the problem is gone |

Thanks for your help, I will go down to the orange shop and see if a new sim card makes a difference. I will post the outcome as many people may soon have this problem. |
