in the box: P800 + 'case' + strap !? Where does the strap go? |

I bought a P800.
In the box I found all the usual stuff and a black synthetic 'holster' (without a belt clip - huh?) and a silver strap which was inside the 'holster'.
What's the strap for? Where does it get strapped onto? The people in Vodafone shop didn't have a clue !

open the battery cover, you will see a hook near the bottom of your phone. Attached strap and return batt cover |

Brilliant ! This wasn't in the manual anywhere. It's not very obvious.

Have you tried a search? if a whole shop of highly trained vodafone grunts cannot figure it out im sure someone will have asked this on here b4.
Take the cover off your phone, and theres a plastic part between the 2 bottom screws at the bottom of the battery. loop the small part of the strap around that, then pass it through the small notch on the cover and voilla, strap attached.
i suck at typing, and im too lazy to correct typos |

your welcome! but it will be of great help in the future if you use the "search" option of this forum. by just typing out the word STRAP in search, you would have been directed to your answer earlier.
Cheers and have a good weekend |

according to the P800 User Manual, the box contents should be:

D Syncstation with USB cable
E Stereo headset
F Protective bag and strap
G 3 extra styli
H Cover - flip replacement
J Memory Stick Duo
K Memory Stick Duo adapter
L Userīs Manual package
M 2 CDs, PC Suite for P800 and Multimedia for P800
go run back to the shop and demand for the strap.

it's on page 15 of 195 on the manual.
says:
The wrist strap is placed in the holder beneath the battery and
routed out through the slot in the battery compartment lid.

lol my first ever post was regarding the same question.
the supplied wrist strap is shit i use my GBA wrist strap. and the T100 strap is very good. You can get wrist strap for many hand held appliances there all pretty much the same so you can whack it on the p800.
Orange p800's come with a different shitter manual which doesnt explain where to place the wrist strap. |

thanx for that info! why is the supplied strap not very good??? how could it have been made in the factory better? has anybody noticed that we did not get a list of all the available S.E. p800 accessories? all my other S.E. phones did. lol and i cant find any phone shops that stock any either. lol

lol. but the way they designed the way it attaches 2 the phone means it comes off every time u change sims and remove battery or battery cover. lol. couldnt they have found a way of creating a hole that u could thread it through and loop the strap through the other piece of the strap like on most phones? lol.
