Guys!
I've been contacted by a company who are looking into purchasing P800/900 for all their employees.
They need a custom made application for the phones to make it worth wile the cost of buying x amount of phones.
The app is a workform for each job the guys are out on jobs to fill in each individual task they've done for a customer.
This part is easy enough, but... at the end of the form they need a space for the customer to sign!
OK, you can do hand writing on a P800 but you can't do a signature. That is what I need!
Anyone willing to give it a go?
I'm sure the right app would be a good product to sell on to others as well?

Does all this make any sence what so ever?

Sorry, couldn't resist...

Seriously though, Jotter could capture the signature. But to make it a complete form would definately require a coder to write a custom app. What the deadline?

Well that is very simple to do and not hard at all. I would do it but I dont know C++. The languages I know are not supported for the p800.

So if I was you, go into the yellow pages and look up internet of software and look for a software company. Just ask them if they program for PDAs.

I worked at two companies were we did things like this. One place we made a valuations systems for a house valuer to look at the house and do the valuations on a PDA and when finished uploaded over the internet to the inhouse database. Very cool app!! We use VB thou!

What you want is simple! so just have a look! should cost much either!

But do they need upload functionality? How do they get the records into, say, a billing solution? I'm sure there are other aspects that you may want to consider to create a serious business application on the P800.

Thanks guys.
I've read throug your replies over breakfast here.
Yes, the app will need to be uploaded to the billingsystem from the phone docking station or over the net.
No the app I need does not exist. I was looking all over for something similar with no luck, but SE thought it was a great idea and wanted feedback on the end result.
Yes, I tried Yellow Pages with no luck.
Deadline, don't know yet.

Btw... I nearly laughed my head off when I was reminded of my spelling error in the first post here, I did deserve those comments.

No dude what he means is you can do handwriting 1 charater at a time, not a whole word at a time. So it wouldn't work.damn your having breakfast? I'm about to get in the bed myself lol. Of course its like 1am here.

@Sony Ericsson Indonesia
I don't mind being corrected on when I do a mistake, and I have humor enough to laugh at my own mistakes, but what you are doing here is splitting hair...
