Computer can't find my T68i! |

Hi guys, my first post and allready a question.. sorry about that
I have a T68i and Belkin Bluetooth USB adapter. I can send pictures and business cards to my computer. But it seems that my pc cannot communicate with my phone.
In Phone monitor, there are no phones or sim-cards listed. And when it's trying to discover services on my phone it doesn't find anything. I enabled all com ports except com1 and com2 ( i didn't reserve them though).
My computer can find my phone in "My Bluetooth Places".
In the bluetooth configuration, at the Client Applications tab it says Bluetooth serial port on com3. But at the Local Services tab it says Bluetooth serial port on com4. Is this normal?
I hope you guys can help me, if you need more information just ask. |

Try to initiate pairing from the phone. (Go in the BlueTooth on the phone, search for bluetooth devices. Hopefully it will find your PC. Note the PC has to be in the discovereble mode which is the default. Afterwards pair the PC from the phone.)
Once paired, you will see BlueTooth serial port as a service in the phone. Doubleclick to connect. You will get a message stating which COM port is beeing used.

Ok, I the phone and pc are paired. The phone recognizes de pc. But what do you mean with "Doubleclick to connect", what do I have to doubleclick? I can see in the tab Local Services the bluetooth serial port is using com4.
There are still no phones or sim-cards listed in Mobile Phone Monitor..

im assuming phone is paired like you said. have you set up a virtual com port. by the sounds of it you have and its com 4. ok so set your phone to descoverable. next activate the bt com port. and look at you phone the bt pic changes from < to <> yes showing its communicating. now in control panel open mpm and tell it com 4 is the com port your phoen is on and it shoudl find it. jus keep playing with it till ti workes thats whay i did. then i got a computer virii and am awaiting my new phone as my 68i died and am back to my 5110 aah the old days before T9 god that hurts. my text messages have reduced by 100 fold. i send about 4 a week now. |

DoubleClick "My BlueTooth Places" in "My Computer". Go in the "Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood". There your phone should be listed. If it's not, make sure the phone is in Discovereble mode (or bluetooth is set to on). Double click on your phone. In there you will find a list of services supported by the phone. Serial Port is one of them. Double click on Serial Port 1. You will get a messages stating which COM port number is beeing used. Make sure that COM port number is activated in phone monitor.
Good Luck.

That's the problem, if I doubleclick my phone it's "trying" to discover services and then it says the phone has no services and it's disconnected?
update: I can pair my pc and phone with the phone, but I can't pair my pc and phone with my pc..

Dont know if this helps but when i used a serial cable it didnt find anything in mpm until i opened an app that uses mpm such as christerssons sendfile. This may be totally useless but thought id tell you just incase.

Are you sure the BlueTooth is turned ON on your phone?
If the phone is in discoverable mode the BlueTooth will remain ON only for 3 minutes, and then you will be prompted to turn it off.
If the BlueTooth on the phone is ON and you have successfully paired Phone & PC, but the PC still doesn't find services on the phone you might want to:
1: Try removing, and reinstalling the bluetooth drivers
2: If (1) doesn't work, take the phone to the service center
