just wanna tell you guys i have just got a replacement T610 from vodafone and all the ugly vodafone icons are gone. Now they are excatly the same icons and menu as original T610....

yes but it doesnt have the Live! icon on the main screen, you can still access VF favourites and Vodafone Live in the main menu |

How did you get a new t610? I just had my firmware upgraded and its R1L, but ITS IS STILL VODAFONE!! All the shit is still there, inc the pictures, voda live button, awful bland icons and the rest of their crap! The only thing thats different is the clock and the camera hotkeys, amongst other things, un vodashit realted.
How do you get it fixed!! And I mean FIXED, the voda crap is the problem! |

Sounds like good news about the new phones from Voda...
Mine is coming 2moro from them - is it likely that it will be the same settings (as in no Voda logo on the shortcut key, but the Voda live settings are all still available)?
..also, I also have a HBH-30 that I use with my T39, but have read on other threads that there are problems there with the 610... have you tried any headsets with the 610 that Voda is currently sending out?

my old T610 brought on 10/7 and in australia u could replace a new phone if you have found any problem on it within 30 days |

I got my Voda Live!  T610 upgraded to unbranded R1L and it works fine - still you have the first two icons on the display taken by vodafone shortcuts/favourites... But the right context button from Stand-By mode is now labeled "MORE" and I like it this way. Of course you dont see the dumb voda icons

What did you do to get it upgraded to unbranded? I scraped off the voda branding and put in my old O2 Sim in, and they still put voda on it, and I took it back to the CPW and they said they could'nt re-flash it. Anybody know anything about this?
I NEED HELP, MY SIM CARD IS NOW LOCKED OUT AND I CANT DO A THING! |

We don't have a service center here. I bought the phone from UK eBay seller. I went to a local service center and for a fee of $10US I got it upgraded to R1L, but not the Vodaphone version - just the regular. No questions asked. My phone works now with any SP SIM card, not just Vodaphone.
