If you have camcoder beta installed
Stick a normal mp4 video clip in c:documents/media files/video/unfiled
Now watch it full screen using the camcoder app.
Is it me or is it a LOT smoother than playing full screen via PVauthor...
Now all we need is for this app to pick up all video files on the p800 (like normal video player does) and we get much smoother widescreen viewing
Try it and LMK what you think.

Hmm, looks like sound only works on some of my clips.
I guess the audio has been done differentley.
We need to find out which audio settings work in camcoder!

Thats not what they are talking about....
The Camcoder app does not record sound however it does have some sound playback functionality....
It would seem it has a better decompression codec for mp4 than the standard P800 video player but lacks some sound abilities as the guys above said.

Well we should all fiddle with sound settings whilst converting MP4s to see what bitrates can be played by the camcorder app player. Because the current vid player is shit on anything encoded at 9k or above in full screen.

Fair play to u guys, the vids look great through camcoder (well as good as can be expected from a phone) but now comes the big question.
How do u install the camcoder to the duo stick?
Its all very good being able to play small clips through it but i want to see my simpsons collection through it.
I'm new to all this give me some credit |

what we need is someone (cleverer than me) to hack the app so it looks for mp4 on the d drive.
Then we need to confirm which sound settings it plays.
Then its sweet full screen all the way

RMG,
The beta testers, (Everyone here?), should recommend to the company to have D: drive compatibility. We dont want to fill up the memory on our phone when we have a perfectly good memory stick.

Good threads plevyadophy.
So, we know:
mp4 made using AMR output sound work.
The full screen playback in camcoder is the mutts nuts.
You can play d: video files in camcoder easily because the associations have changed from pvplayer.
Roll on Beta 2
