do they? I never had a problem connecting my old nokias (8210, 8250) with my pc or pocketpc and similarly I can connect my se phones to same suggesting some sort of common protocol?

Contacts as business cards send fine. As soon as you try to send images, midis, or games it fails. I need to use specific software on my PC in order to achieve this. At least in series 40 nokias it's like this . . . not tried the series 60 ones.

Nokia are the service providers' best friend:
Since they block transfer of pictures/tones between phones, people have to send them via MMS @ 40p a shot! |

That's just the way it is. I've got a 7210 and cannot send anything to it without using specific software on my pc. There's also no 'send via IR' option on the 7210 so I have to use another program to read stuff off the phone. I am assuming this is the case with all other series 40s.

Yes, it seems that S40 Nokia phones (like 7210) needs proprietary software, but S60 phones (7650, 3650) will work just fine.
Btw: I've searched a "Send by IR" option on N7650, trying to send a picture to my T300. No luck... |

With series 40 nokias you can not evan send things that are not vcards between two of them the only way would be to send via nokia pc suite or mms.

I don't have a T310, but a T300 - I guess they are similar.
I know I can't send pictures and sounds between it and S40 Nokias, afaik this works with S60 ones (like 7650). But I have another problem... sending contacts and business cards!
I mean, when I try to send a card from a Nokia to my phone, I receive only the name - not the phone number! Yes, the phone works OK, I could transfer contacts to/from a PDA without a problem. Do you know anything about this?
P.S. Obviously, the 7650 has a "send by IR" option. Sorry...

U can send 2 the 3650 and 7650...because they are different...they use the Symbian OS, and the smaller picture phones from nokia uses some other F**KING S**TT that don't support that cind of transfer
Nokia DISconnecting people SonyEricsson F**King with people Motorola HURTing people Your face, your ass...what's the diffrence! |
