Cutting mp3s down |

Does anyone know any good programs so I can edit mp3s and make them shorter. I want to convert some tunes into wav which is not the problem but to have it in a half descent quality it can be too large in mbs. If I had just a minute of the tune that would do and file size would be perfect
Any ideas?
Cheers

Hi Frankie
I use http://www.heathcosoft.com/software/mp3trackmaker/
I use it a lot but if you only need to make a ringtone uou may not need to register ..........'The demo version has all the features of the registered version (which only costs $13 US), except it can only split an MP3 into a maximum of three tracks and can only join a maximum of 3 tracks. '
I then use Musicmatch mp3 to wav convert and then the built Windows sound recorder at 'radio quality' setting( My files end up quite big- 300k but the quality is excellent for a really nice sounding ring tone)
hope this helps
N
