We're in the same boat, I noticed this as well. My P800 drained all the power yesterday morning after I played with the camcorder. What i realized was that you need to exit the program by clicking on "exit(debug)" so that power hunger won't occur!

not my problem. Close the app using "Exit" found in the menu of Camcoder. I sometimes close the app thru Tracker and battery consumption is just the same as usual. |

Same is the case with me ,
After installing camcoder the battery life decreased to i guess 50% which is a serious prob ...
anyone not having app manager or tracker might be in trob ... |

@scouser_75
Someone leaked a beta of the vidcam for P800. Philipes are the ones who make it. And it drains battery like hell... or so they say.
Go to a SE service center and ask for a new batt. They told me when I used a SE T65 (me dads old on) and even my old t68i (dads now new one) that the batt. life depended a lot on how far away you are from the antenna (uhm dunno a proper name). And we have one 500meter from us so that was just bull. Those phones doesn't have long batt. life.
My P800 is on for 3 days and I call a lot and send lots of sms and listen to music. So... after all this rambling about nothing. You need a new batt.

The long and over-rated debated video recording program with no audio and only 10 seconds capability! Does this answered your question? |

Cheers guys.
So, this vid cam thingy is a waste of time, energy...and battery!
And Lord, will SE charge me for a new battery? I'll go and speech myself a new battery...I mean, I am within the year warranty |

No they shouldn't charge you for a faulty battery. I know the place I bought mine at, wouldn't charge me if I had that problem. Oh and yeah, the vidcam is just a beta and it looks lousy. Could be good though. I haven't tested it and I won't try it either. Hardly even use the cam.

I have installed camcoder software too from Saturday and as long i exit the program with the debug function that exists in the menu of the program, i see no difference in power consumption. |
