I originally purchased a Sony Ericsson HBH-60 to pair with my new T610 phone. But it had the dreaded crackling problem and the a sound quality problem.
I discovered from this forum that there was a problem in the T610 with connection to Bluetooth headsets, causing the crackling that I described above. The solution was a firmware upgrade to R1L013 in the phone. So after some hassling with the local Sony Ericsson customer service people regarding the availability of the firmware upgrade, I had the upgrade installed. The crackling stopped.
But the sound quality was still awful. I could hardly understand the other person.
So, I sent the HBH-60 back and purchased a Jabra BT-200 instead. It arrived yesterday. The Jabra is great. Works well, clear sound and is comfortable to wear. IMHO, the Jabra also has a better quality look and feel about it than the HBH-60.
Seems like Sony Ericsson has some work to do to improve on their latest bluetooth headset. |
