Even though T618 is made in Beijing but the price is quite high (~RMB 3700) as compare to Hong Kong price at HK$3400. Exchange rate is about 1 - 1. This makes the T618 not as attractive (price wise) and competitive. I've been looking for either T610 or T618 myself but not ready to pay the RMB 3700 price. Anyone in Beijing has lead to good price on T618 or T610? |

I bought my T618 in Chongqing, and EVERY store I went to sold them for exactly the same price. $3880 w/ extra battery (not made by Ericsson) and hands free headset (also not made by Ericsson). The reason I bought it in China was because at the time, the Singapore T610 did not support Chinese text input. Now the T610 in Singapore has Chinese text input. Therefore I have a less supported phone with no warranty for no reason Although I must say, the Chinese wallpapers on the T618 are quite nice
While we're on this subject of T618's... Does anyone know if T618's can take T610 firmwares? I would like to go to my service point and load up R1L. I called them but they said they weren't sure and to just bring the phone in and try it. |
