Hi all,
Just saw this at my local electrical dealer...I havnt bought it or tried it out but it looks good. Its infrared, but the reciever can be "swivelled" around 210 deg to line up with the P800/900's infrafed port!

It would require a driver on the P800 and looking at the compatibility chart (PDF document) it does not list the P800 as being compatible.

Here is the compatibility page which does not list the P800 as being compatible and there is nothing in the support page regarding drivers for the P800.

Where did you see those drivers?

For those interested, this the the pocketop keyboard

The pocketop does have drivers that are compatible for the p800 as I'm using it now to type this reply. However, they were removed from pocketop's site by request from Symbian for some reason. There have been a couple of threads about where to get the drivers from so if you do a search for pocketop you should find them easily.

Concur with nsayani

I have the Pocketop keyboard and Symbian (beta) driver.

Targus have the P800 under a list for future support, the last time I checked www.targus.com

I've been after such a device for quite a while now. Correct me if I'm wrong, this is what I've pieced together.

PockeTop
According to an email direct from PockeTop, they are working on a driver. They did have a beta driver on thier site, which they have removed the link to. According to some threads, this is still downloadable by working out the filename. Some people who did download the driver have made it available as mentioned above. Apparently you have to run a program to launch the driver using a file manager app, I guess the proper release will be more seamless.

Targus
They've just told a friend of mine that development of a Symbian driver is on hold due to a lack of interest in the platform. I hope they eventually decide to support the P8/900.

Re vivz's reply..I have emailed Targus asking them as to when they will be providing the drivers/support for the P800/P900....will keep you posted as to what (if any response I get) However, I doubt they would do anything about it if just one person contacts them about this....the more people that speak out...the more notice Targus will take as it will reflect demand. ...so... the more people that email them to enquire when they will provide the drivers/support for the SE phones, the better.

USA: info@targus.com
Canada: info.cn@targus.com
UK: targus.uk@targus.com

there are more email addresses on their website..
