I bought myself a Belkin bluetooth dongle so i could sync and transfer files with my t68i. I installed the software that came with it, but had a problem with it, ie the software wouldn't recognise my t68i. i unistalled the software and then reinstalled it and now it doesn't work at all. When I click on the My Bluetooth Places icon on the desktop it opens up a blank explorer window. i have tried reinstalling numerous times with no success. I have a feeling that the registry is messed up but don't really know how to fix it. Does anyone have any help they are willing to give me? I run Windows Me.

Tried it, doesn't work. Anyone have an idea of what i should perhaps change in the registry? If that is the problem.

hmm maby its time to take and read the manual??

I know its the last thing where ppl look..

but one question: If thiz device is usb then did you hav your device plugged in or not??

I hav seeeeeen maaaany maaany devices u must not plug in before installation of some software is complete..

if thats the case then uninstall everything, pull the device out, restart install, restart , and plug in..

its a general suggestion for not so widespread usb devices
though never seen that belkin stuff before.. so my suggestion is really General

I read the manual before installing, I know i'm in the minority. Did exactly what it said. It isn't the dongle that is the problem, but the software.

Active the virtual COM port in the BT setting, i have the same dongle, and this did the trick.
Is this a dream or a memory?

I get another problem. After installing the bluetooth software, when I sacn for Bluetooth devices in range or do any bluetooth related operation, the software says "no local bluetooth found". I had inserted the bluetooth dongle(F8T003) into the USB port and even checked it in device manager where it is recognised by the computer. This happens in my laptop but dosent happen on my desktop where it works fine.
