Does anyone tried I mode on the P800?
Does anyone has the settings for Belgium (Base) ? |

it's not an i-mode fone, it's a GSM fone, so unless i'm very much mistaken (and i'm pretty sure i'm not for once), it's never gonna work

It is not an i-mode phone? That makes no sense.
i-mode is a service like Vodafone Live! only it's in Japan (and Holland).
It is like halfway between HTML and WAP, so it's in colour if need be, but small.
It uses a smaller version of HTML called cHTML.

If I-mode is cHTML then it must work on the P800 because it supports cHTML doesn't it ?

The P800 is i-mode compliant, there are few English i-mode sites though.

i stand corrected, the information i was given was claiming that i-mode was a 3g-like network standard available in Japan only

I phoned up BASE before the P800 came out and it DOES support I-mode, but Base will not accept P800 to it's network on I-mode! They choose the phones and they have only allowed Nec and Toshiba for the moment.... |
