I know the information for this in the forums but a search still leaves me with questions so i am endeavouring to put all the information in one place; for my sake and others. Hope you can help
1. Magicgate. Can it be used? (cheaper)
2. Have noticed different sizes. 1 about the size of a stamp (boxed 16mb version) and another about double that size. Whats the difference and can they both be used?
3. 3rd party, non-sony versions? i.e. Lexar and Kodak(?) are these compatible?
4. Since the magicgate is cheaper than the non version and 3rd party ones are cheaper still who's bought the cheapest? |

wow !! u are really confused... are you talking about Memory Stick or memory Stick DUO ?
there's only 1 size and yes the magicgate can be used.
I dont think there are any other third party sticks but i have seen some third party for the memory stick not the DUO version |

yeah you are totally confused and here is info to clear it up...
MS Duo is one size and is about 1/3 size of a regular MS.
DUO comes in magic gate i have a 128mb and it works fine
DUO also comes in regular "purple" MS as the 16mb thats included
there is talk about a 256 mb DUO but nothing out yet.
if you buy the expansion sleeve you can put a full size MS in p800
yes, magic gate will work here also
clear?
also, there are no 3rd party ones yet, at least not where i am
128mb DUO is $80 at expansys, circuit city, frys, sonystyle
