Call customer support of your cell provider or visit their web site. The settings are usually there.

@docc

Go see http://wap.sonyericsson.com/, then follow the global support links through for P800; use the wap configurator to set the P800 up for GPRS wap-use on your service provider.

Then get your PC and P800 communicating via IR.

Should be easy....

Steven.

There's a ton of different threads about this topic, but I just did it and didn't find all the information in 1 place anywhere... So - Here's what I had to do to be able to connect via IR from my laptop to my p800 and use the p800 and unlimited GPRS to get to the net on my laptop:
1) Get the phone configured to use GPRS on it's own - so you can connect to the net using the internal browser or Opera and get e-mail, etc. Talk to your wireless carrier for the settings. Now you've got a GPRS connection configured in your p800.
2) Go to SonyEricsson's web site and find the "SonyEricsson Serial Modem Driver" and dowload it to your PC (or it might be on the CD that came with the p800, not sure, since I downloaded it)
3) On the p800, through the control panel, connections, IR you need to turn IR on, set it to "Modem" status, and get it to connect to your PC.
4) Assuming you have the PC Suite installed on your PC, execute the SonyEricsson Dial Up Networking Wizard. This will allow you to install the SE modem driver on the correct COM port, select the GPRS connection on your phone and create the "dial-up" string to enable the connection, and create an icon on your desktop for future use.
5) To initiate the connection in the future, make sure your IR is on in Modem mode, and there is an IR connection to your PC. Just click on the shortcut on your desktop created in step 4 and hit dial. Mine's a bit flaky, but eventually after a couple tries it works...
