I have tried. It doesn't work. Have to find an emulator which mimics the phone completely + has download ability. I havn't seen anything like that.
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.

I heard Mophun games can be locked to IMEI (don't know how, or even if it's true)
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.

If you want to download a mophun game to your PC via your browser, you first of all need a browser that is capable of displaying wml pages. AFIK IE cannot do this. I use Opera browser. Of course the site the mophun game is on does not need to be a wml page, so you can use any browser then.

Some sites check to see if you are using a mobile device and won't allow you to download a game through a normal browser. So you need to fake it and let your regular pc browser appear to be a mobile device. This is a bit more difficult. Every HTTP header that is sent from your browser contains a field that identifies the type of browser you are using. This is called the User-Agent. For example IE will send:

'User-Agent: MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1 [en]'

to identify it as IE.

We need to change this to

'User-Agent: SonyEricssonT300/R201'

for a SE T300.

The only way I know to change this is to use a program that modifies the headers sent from your browser. I use Proxomitron for this. Using Proxomitron is not easy though, you'll have to study how to use it yourself.

Good Luck

Hi guys,
I think I've found a much easier way to download .mpn's via wap form your pc. In fact I tried it today with the following url "http://wap.szejqer.divx.com.pl/stuff/sonyericsson/gry.wml"
I used WinWAP 3.1 PRO to open this url nad found that there existed some games for downloading. Though WinWAP wasn't able to download them. So I've cut 'n' paste the complete address to Internet Explorer and managed to download them. In other words, use WinWAP to find the complete address of a file, then give it to Internet Explorer and voila the download starts! For example in the above address give IE the address http://wap.szejqer.divx.com.pl/stuff/sonyericsson/gry/abyss.mpn to download Deep Abyss!!
Thats it.

Hope it works on other wap sites too. (And I don't see a reason it doesn't)

Thanks to Supreme I found another way to get the url. Go to
http://wannabrowser.com/

In the HTTP User Agent field fill in 'SonyEricssonT300/R201' and in the Location field fill in the url to the gamepage. You should get the raw html code for the site and the link to mpn file should be there somewhere. Paste this into the browser and download.

the link to proxomitron is http://www.proxomitron.org/ but it seems to be down. The german page is up at http://www.buerschgens.de/Prox/

And yes, this will work for jar/jad too.

Instead of using a WAP emulator you could try entering the URL for the WAP page in Internet Explorer, and then open the resulting file with a text editor, eg Notepad. Finally search the text for the URL of the game file to paste back into IE.
