i have t610, and this is my first time using wap thing.
all i wanna do is to connect to the web and download ring tones.
but everytime i wanna connect, it asks me to create a WAP profile
and then CONNECT USING : either GPRS or GSM
if i wanna connect using GPRS, it asks me about APN that i don't know what is that, and ask me for my USER ID and PASSWORD
i don't know where to get all that stuff
it also asks me about IP Address
please help me guys

i have T mobile as my carrier, and i already signed up for T-zone
but my phone is an unlocked phone, not from T mobile
thanks

I helped in this thread for settings in a T616. Should be just the same for T610. If the link I gave to the t-zone page with the settings doesn't help then PM the guy who was looking since he obviously sorted himself out in the end.

Did you sort this out?
Try wap.voicestream.com for the APN and wap for the User ID. Leave the others blank.

I am thinking about getting a T610. How is the phone?

thanks for the reply.

problem is I am a long-time T-Mobile customer, so can't take advantage of the new sign up discounts. I did find an unlocked phone online for $369, however. very tempting.

agreed. but I hope the reception is better with this one so I won't have to downgrade to an at&t tdma.

@chobits:

to surf WAP

1.sign up for T-ZONES/data plan

2.go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?page=start&ver=portalpage_1_4

3.goto global support area get: WAP CONFIGURATOR & MMS CONFIGURATOR (will be sent to your phone, make sure u have good signal)

4.(if not already done) call t mobile to ACTIVATE tzones/MMS

*easier process than trying to put in APN settings manually

dont u think it's easier to go to www.sonyericsson.com ----> global support ---> OTA settings.

makes it 10X easier.
