hey there. i have a problem regarding my contacts and sms. if i receive a message, its the contact from my sim that appears, which wasn't updated and not from my phone. the contacts in my phone are the ones that i have updated using outlook which is good because i have added bday, address, email, etc.

by the way, some of my contacts from the phone seems to be alright in the inbox of sms, while some are simply not found in my contacts of my phone memory. but a name appears which seems to be from my sim card.

so i would really appreciate it if anyone could help me.

Try deleting everything, and synchronise with Outlook again. That should fix your problem. Or even "restart" the phone could help. That was the only problem I had after uploading from my t68i to the p800.

Because of the fact that I had 1-2 contacts in the p800 already, the phone didnt want to overwrite or something.

Kind Regards

Before doing that!

I think I know your problem!

You might have a list of people in your contacts! However when you send a sms and click on 'To', the list you get there are missing people! Correct????

If this is the case it means that your phone has not picked up that the person you want to send the sms to is a 'Mobile Number!' The contacts on the phone are great and it will detect about 90% of the contacts which ones are Mobile Numbers and which ones are not. It does not display these people because if it is NOT a Mobile Number then you cant send a SMS to them!

So go into edit your contact and where there number is it might say home, work or what ever, click on the tiny little arrow and then select Mobile! then they will automaticly be in that list you are chasing!

good luck

Actually I already did that and still had the same problem. The only thing that I figured was to erase the contact found in the sim, and obviously it worked. thanks again!
