Guess what, story about differences between T68 and T68i.

For those who don't understand Swedish. There IS a difference between the two models, namely, standby and talk time. It seems to be much less on the older model (up to 100 hours in standby).

From what I have understood from other sites, the 100 hours extra standby will be on the i model and not on the 'old one'...

The square is an upside down "e". That was my best attempt at Azeri. It shoudl translate to "true, I said that"

My knowledge of the Turkic tounges is limited to Turkiye Turkcesi I'm afraid but I've heard people from Nahxivan provence talk and I could get about 50% of what they said.

Standby-time is LONGER on T68i.
Talk-time is LONGER on T68m.

This is said in the article by SE.

Reason,..the new OS on T68i preserves battery better.

Thats also the reason why "memory" will look different,..the memory-management-part are not the same on the two phones.
BUT their "REAL MEMORY" is the same.

This is stated by the SE product manager.

IT IS NOT! You are totally wrong.. It says that the firmware is responsible for the better standby time... NO HARDWARE DIFFERENCE AT ALL....

SCREWPULL > I know

-----------------------------------

Per Alksten says the power/battery-management is different on these two phones :

THE ONLY THING thats different on these two phones are battery-times,...it says so in the article.

Per Alksten does know what he's talking about

This is the article,..my translations underneath :

"Per Alksten, produktmarknadschef på Sony Ericsson:
- Nej, T68 får exakt samma funktionalitet och kapacitet som T68i efter uppgraderingen."

(translated : T68 wil have exactly the same functionality and capacity as the T68i, once upgraded)

(translated: talk-time and standbytime are different on the two models. T68 have 3-13 hours talktime, T68i have 3-12 hours.
Standby is the other way around, here T68 have 165-290 hours, while T68i have 195-390 hours. Approx 100 hours more on T68i)

- Det är samma batteri. En trolig orsak till skillnaderna i batteritid är troligen att T68i har ett nytt operativsystem, som drar mindre ström, säger Per Alksten.

(translated: its the same battery. The reason for the differences, are the T68i's new operativ system, which uses less power, says Per Alksten)

About the MEMORY :

Per Alksten told in an article, I think it was last week, that they differ in some way :

This is also due to the way the operative system works (memory-management) :

He says, that when looking at the two phones menues, it MIGHT seem as one has more memory than the other,
BUT in "real life", this is not the case,...here they have exactly the same in memory-capacity ! Theres no difference at all.
