The Matrix phone was 8110i, the 8110 is a regular so called "banana"  |

The 8110 and 8110i are physically the same. The difference is in the firmware (the i had improved data features). The Matrix phone was a prop phone (tricked out 81xx series) and all of the 81xx were called "bananas".
I still have my 8110, I keep it in the car as a back-up. |
