Bluetooth question on Anycom & HBH-20 |

Hi everybody, I will really appreciate any hint or clarification about the problems I'm having with BOTH Anycom and HBH-20 BT headsets and T68i(R74013)/T39m(R8A007) mobiles.
I can successfully pair the headsets with both phones, but different problems come up when I'm really using them:
1) T39m + Anycom: everything works fine apart from the voice answer, that it's ignored so that I can only accept the call with the jog in th BT headset or wait for the caller to hang up!
2) T68i + Anycom: the worst/best couple... Everytime I'm using the headset to call with the voice command I have a pop-up on the mobile screen: "Voice control not activated, do you want to activate it now" (may be the message is a little different but that's the meaning of it...). I can make the call, answer or reject with voice, record a memo, but after the call I have to remember to answer "NO" to the pop-up or the next time I want to use the BT the phone crashes (empty screen) and I have to reset.
3) T39m + HBH20: works fine apart voice from answer and memo recording (momo recording is activated, but the recording has to be made from the phone mic, and than the recording cannot be stopped from the BT).
4) T68i + HBH-20: works fine apart voice from answer and memo recording (memo recording is activated but nothing is recorded, neither from the BT nor from the phone mic, and the recording cannot be stopped from the BT).
Is there anybody that has any explanation??? At least it will be good to use the HBH-20 to answer/reject/record, while I can accept to have problems with a third party device... I'm a little angry with SE, I think that they should be able to deliver a working device without having to stress the customers that much.
Even the HPM-10, that works fine for calling, answering, recording and everything, is not perfect: it plays an extremly soft sound when a caller name voice is played, or when a call is received and the caller name voice is recorded in the mobile. That's stupid; who's testing the stuff there???
My last Nokia mobile was a 7110, and with the last fw I had no problems, but the sw was quite basic, compared to T39/T65/T68; may be they have many problems too, now that the sw is more complex even in therir mobiles.
Now I don't know what to buy in the next future (3650???); I'm quite sure I will NOT buy any Sonyericsson mobile since the quality of their products will remain as it is. Good looking, best design, but it's not enough.
TIA, sorry for my disseretion,
bye.

I have the same problem as you described in 2), but with a t610. I am going to get a firmware flash (from R1A), and hope this solves the problem. Otherwise, I will return my headset. The headset officialy isn't compatible (yet) with the t610, maybe because of a modification to the phone-software, introduced in the most recent t68i firmware...
Hopefully it'll work, I'll let you know... |

Thanks for your hints. I'm gonna ask SE about it and check whether an upgrade of the headset fw can solve the problems.
I'll post something back as soon as possible.
Cheers.

I've been to the SE-service point, but they discouraged me from updating. They told me that the firmware I have (R1A), is currently the most stable release, the newer R1L seems to have some problems.
They also told me that the bleutooth-standard isn't so standard as you might think. Only Siemens accepts non-branded BT-headsets with full functionality. The best choice for t610 owners should be the hbh-35 or 60. |

I'm buying a new mobile in 4/5 months... And it seems SE is gonna strongly move in the market (today news on telefonino.net). Hopefully they'll have somthing new before Christmass.
Cheers.

I've swapped the anycom for a SE hbh-35 headset, which works like a charm!
(Got a discount for it too ) |
