I am going to pick up my "new" p800 this weekend. I was wondering just by looking at it and turning it on how can I tell if the phone is locked to the provider? I have my sim card that I can pop in will it tell me if it is locked or not? Thanks!

On the jogdial you have to do this combination:
up * down * * down *

Where up is up one click and then press the "*" which is next to "0+" and below "7PQRS".
You will see 4 lock icons. If they are "open" then you will know. They are locked/unlocked mode. Mine ar unlocked...

There're loads of unlocking places about - for example, in Swindon town center there are two market traders who advertise unlocking for a tenner!
