Ridiculously unfair |

Right, I've had enough with SonyEricsson wasting everyone's time. Originally, to the best of my knowledge, the MMS upgrade was planned for week 10. Now week 16 is being bandied about, with others saying the end of April/May/whenever. There's no 'official' date being given, or too many different 'official' dates being given. The facts as I see it, are that I bought my T68 phone a month or two ago, aiming to use it with the picture phonebook, etc., and still can't. Someone else who's bought basically an identical phone a week or two ago can. If we'd never been promised MMS/picture phonebook/etc., I wouldn't have a problem, but we have, and we've been shunted to the bottom of the queue basically. As for this 'the upgrade will be released when networks support MMS' rubbish, the very existence and availability of the T68i right now completely removes any credibility from that argument. SonyEricsson is treating us original T68 owners with complete apathy, and I'm fed up of this. I've already been repeatedly nagging them about changing covers on the phone (I want the T68I cover, the screen is indented and won't scratch easily), the software updates, etc., and I suggest everyone else here e-mails them and voices their opinions too. If you just sit back and let them bide their time, thats exactly what they will do. And if they're still stalling, then I'll ask for a refund, as my T68 blatantly cannot do at this moment in time, what was originally promised as part of its capability.

Hmmm, what a constructive and useful reply. You don't have to accept what I'm saying, you can completely disagree with it, and I'd be more than appreciative of reading a reply defending SonyEricsson's position in a sensible way, but what you've just written is of no intellectual merit whatsoever.

Nu när ni släppt T68i med nya programvaran, varför har inte vi T68m ägare fått ta del av den? Den är ju uppenbarligen klar och hårdvaran i telefonerna ska ju vara identisk. Det är en aningen konstigt att vi som köpt en high-end telefon tidigt ska straffas mot senkommande. Vi är trots allt den grupp som SE valt att inrikta sig mot och det här ger ett riktigt dåligt intryck.
SE:
Lanserings datumet för pogramvaran till T68 är ändrat till slutet av maj.
Jag:
Varför är lanseringsdatumet i slutet av Maj när programvaran uppenbarligen redan är klar? (Den finns redan i T68i som är exakt identisk med T68 förutom skalet.)
SE:
Pogramvaran som kommer till T68 är inte exakt desamma som T68i innehåller och därför kan man inte uppgradera T68 med den T68i pogramvara som redan finns idag.
Jag:
På vilka punkter kommer programvaran skilja sig? Hårdvaran är ju identisk.
SE:
Tyvärr vet vi inte i dagsläget vad som skiljer pogramvarorna åt eftersom T68:ans mjukvara ännu inte är lanserad. Vi har därför ingen möjlighet att undsöka detta.

You're completely missing the point of the argument, and just being deliberately provocative. If the P800 was released now, and somebody bought it, I wouldn't have a problem with it. My argument isn't that people have 'better' phones than me, its that we've paid for effectively the same phone, and the original promised capabilities of the T68 haven't been met. I'm angry because SonyEricsson has failed to deliver, at this point, and seems to be just giving T68 users lower importance. I'm not here crying either, so why not contribute sensibly to the discussion, rather than acting all provocative behind a computer and resorting to trying to irritate others?

I am with peteribrahim good point of view, by the way T68m is the same mobile as T68i this one with different cover only, and price in most cases is the same as well, at least compared with gold ziroccan model so...

Skillnaden ligger i att T68m måste konverteras. Du kan inte använda samma flash-fil till T68m som för T68i, försöker du kommer du att misslyckas kapitalt. Uppgraderingen kommer när mjukvaran är klar och testad, inte innan. Ska SE låta bli att lansera telefoner bara för att du inte får tillgång till den mjukvaran exakt samtidigt? |

För min del kan de gärna få skriva över allt, jag har inget emot att förlora bilder, nummer osv. De borde åtminstone ge oss det alternativet. Framför allt borde de dock tala om att det är därför uppdateringen dröjer och inte slingra sig.
