I have tried the Magic Word function on my new T610 but failed. I have read the manual and have performed the following steps.

Under Voice Control menu
1. Enabled Magic Word
2. Checked for both car handsfree and port. handsfree
3. Recorded my specific magic word

When I speak my magic word while using my handsfree but found no response.

I would like to know if I mis-understand the procedure of using Magic Word Function in the manual.

Any T610 users have tried Magic Word successfully?

Thanks in advanced.

Works perfectly for me. When you record voice commands make sure you do it through a device with which you are going to use them. Basically if you are gonna use voice commands with a handsfree, record them using that handsfree

Basically, what happens when i use the Magic word is this. Im using HPR-20 by the way.

1. Say the Magic word, if successfully done a message will appear in the screen saying "after this tone....blah blah..) Then you will hear a 'beep'
2. Say the the command word for your voice dialing or voice profile command whatever...thats it.
3. Afterwards, if there's a category for Home number, mobile, or office say the command word for such after another 'beep'.

I am having the same problem. I suspect that it is related to the current set of issues with Bluetooth on the T610. Hopefully a firmware upgrade will fix it soon.

Peter-BKK, what bluetooth handsfree are you using? I'm using HBH-35.

I also have the same problem whether I use the HBH-35 or not. It is a shame as together they make a nice piece of kit. How do I get hold of the latest firm ware?

guys, magic word does not work with bluetooth headsets. It says that clearly in the manual. The reason is that the bluetooth headset would have to be constantly listening to every sound and so the battery would not last very long at all

Magic word only works with wired headsets and car kits

Hi, Im gleaning forom the info here that the pone HAS to have somethign else connected to it, such as a earpiece device. Im trying to get my phone to use the Magic Word with no attachments. The manual makes it seems like the magic word will function with no attachemnts. is this correct or do I need somethign attached to the phone? Thanks
